Residents in Aberaman are continuing to push for improved community facilities, following growing local support and recent developments involving both local and national representatives.
A petition calling for better community provision in the area has now been signed by 234 residents, highlighting the strength of feeling within the community.
The matter has been raised with local MP, Gerald Jones, who has formally contacted the Chief Executive of Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, Paul Mee, requesting comments on the concerns raised.
Residents have expressed frustration at the lack of meaningful engagement at local level to date. As a result, the issue has also now been referred to the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales to seek further clarity and accountability.
A response from the Council is expected in the coming weeks. If no reply is received by 21 May, further follow-up action will be taken.
Despite the challenges, the campaign continues to move forward, with local people playing a key role in keeping the issue active. Community members are being kept informed as developments progress.
Campaign organisers would like to thank all residents who have supported the petition and shown patience while the process moves forward. Their continued backing is seen as vital in ensuring that Aberaman’s needs are properly recognised.
Further updates will be shared as soon as more information becomes available.
