Community support from Pennant Walters equips Aberdare RFC Youth team with VEO technology

Pennant Walters is proud to support Aberdare RFC Youth Team through funding that has enabled the club to purchase a VEO sports camera, further strengthening player development and the club’s role within the local community.

The youth side, made up of players around the age of 16, will use the VEO system to film matches and training sessions. The footage will allow players and coaches to review performances, analyse key moments, and support learning as the players continue their progression through the youth game, towards senior rugby.

As well as supporting performance analysis, the camera will help capture important memories from a key stage of the players’ rugby journeys, from tries scored and big defensive efforts to shared experiences with teammates.

Stephen Hall, Aberdare RFC Coach, said:

“This funding makes a real difference to our youth setup. Being able to review games, and training, helps our players understand the game better and take more responsibility for their own development.

“At the same time, it gives them something to look back on in years to come, representing their club and community. We’re extremely grateful to Pennant Walters for their support.”

The funding comes from Pennant Walters’ community fund linked to its Mynydd Bwllfa windfarm, a 9-turbine, 22MW project located near Aberdare in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
