South Wales Police are continuing to investigate the murder of 22-year-old Liam Woolford from Porth.

Two men, a 30-year-old man from Rhydyfelin arrested on suspicion of murder and attempt murder, and a 22-year-old man from Tonteg arrested on suspicion of murder, remain in custody.

Two men who were previously in hospital, a 23-year-old from Rhydyfelin and a 24-year-old from Porth, are now also in police custody having been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 20-year-old woman from Penygraig who was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent has been bailed for further enquiries.

Police were called to Poets Close in Rhydyfelin just before 00.40am on Tuesday morning (September 23) following reports of a disturbance.
