Hirwaun and Penderyn, and Rhigos Matters report that they have been contacted by residents about the new bus route through Hirwaun (no longer using Harris Street). We were informed that a new bus route was to come and that there was to be a consultation on the placement of new bus stops. At the time, we did share about how the placement of new stops would have a knock-on effect on residential parking. Speaking to residents, a consultation did not include everyone who lives along the route.
Today, we saw that the number 9 bus was not showing on the Stagecoach app. It has been confirmed by Stagecoach that the number 9 is running and that there may issues with the app.
Additionally, we have shared concerns about how residents are expected to stand on the opposite side of the road with no shelters. The communication of this has been very poor. We hope to have a response from RCT soon as they are responsible for establishing the stops and placing bus shelters.
