South Wales Police made multiple arrests following a report of a burglary ongoing in a unit on Hirwaun Industrial Estate.

We were called just after 11.20pm on Tuesday June 3 with a report of a burglary ongoing in a unit on Hirwaun Industrial Estate.

When officers arrived at the scene there were multiple people at the location and when they went inside, they found what appeared to be a cannabis cultivation operation.

11 men have been arrested in connection to the incident. Eight have been bailed for further enquiries and three currently remain in police custody.

Those arrested are

45-year-old from Aberaman, Aberdare – arrested on suspicion of cultivate cannabis plant a class B controlled drug – bailed

40-year-old from Aberdare – arrested on suspicion of affray – bailed

22-year-old from Cwmdare, Aberdare – arrested on suspicion of affray – bailed

24-year-old from Aberaman, Aberdare – arrested on suspicion of affray – bailed

21-year-old from Aberaman, Aberdare – arrested on suspicion of affray – bailed

37-year-old from Penywaun, Aberdare – arrested on suspicion affray – bailed

22-year-old from Penywaun, Hirwaun – arrested on suspicion of affray – bailed

25-year-old from Lancashire – arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary – remains in police custody

37-year-old from Lancashire – arrested on suspicion aggravated burglary – remains in police custody

52-year-old from Kirby, Knowsley – arrested on suspicion of kidnap – remains in police custody

22-year-old from Cwmaman, Aberdare – arrested on suspicion of affray – bailed
