Caerphilly Cares Awarded Autism Accreditation

Caerphilly Cares has been officially accredited as an Autism Understanding & Accepting Organisation, demonstrating its commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for neurodivergent individuals across the borough.

Awarded by Neurodivergence Wales, the accreditation recognises organisations that actively promote autism awareness, understanding, and acceptance. Through staff training, accessible services, and an ongoing commitment to inclusivity, Caerphilly Cares continues to make meaningful strides in supporting autistic individuals and their families.

Cllr Carol Andrews, Cabinet Member for Education and Communities, said:

“This accreditation is a testament to the dedication of the Caerphilly Cares team in creating an inclusive and understanding community for autistic individuals. We want to ensure that everyone, regardless of their neurodiversity, feels supported and valued within our borough. By taking these important steps, we are making Caerphilly a more accessible and welcoming place for all.”

This recognition aligns with Caerphilly County Borough Council’s wider commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring that all residents have access to the support they need.
