School stabbings prompt safety review across Wales
Responding to the news that school safety procedures are being reviewed across Wales after two teachers and a pupil were stabbed, Tom Giffard MS, Shadow Education Minister, said:
“After the shocking news last week at Ysgol Dyffryn Amman, a review of safety procedures by councils is a sensible and welcome move.
“Schools should be a place of safety, learning and discovery. It is deeply sad and distressing that such a violent incident took place.
“I hope that headteachers and schools react positively to the recommended review process, to ensure pupils feel safe and protected within our schools.”
