Flood resilience improvements delivered at Dyffryn Road in Mountain Ash

An upgraded culvert system is now completed at Dyffryn Road in Mountain Ash, with works concluding on site last week.

The scheme, near the junction with Aberffrwd Road, has replaced the culvert and installed a new inspection chamber and an outfall structure, this has increased the infrastructure’s capacity to cope with periods of heavy rainfall,

just another contract that was funded by the taxpayers through an 85% funding contribution from the Welsh Government.

The Council’s work was completed by the end of February, with utility work concluding on Friday, March 8. The lane closure and temporary traffic lights have now been lifted.

Please note, that temporary netting has been installed around a section of the works area that has been seeded and will be removed once the grass has grown.

Thanks to road users and residents for your cooperation.
