Five-year NHS waits in Labour-run Wales You get what you vote for
Commenting on the news that Swansea Bay University Health Board mistakes saw patients lose their places on waiting lists for surgery and wait up to five and a half years, Russell George MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Health Minister said:
“I was devastated to read the report detailing these completely unacceptable cases of unfair and unjust treatment here in Wales – Labour needs to get a grip of the situation in our Welsh NHS.
“There are still tens of thousands waiting over two years for treatment in Labour-run Wales, compared with virtually none in Conservative England.
“The Welsh Conservatives called a vote to reverse Labour’s cuts to Healthcare Inspectorate Wales and expand their remit to complaints to help avoid these issues only last week, but Labour failed to back us – they must reconsider.”
