Welsh taxpayers will be furious at ‘injured feelings’ compensation payout
Commenting on the news that £325,000 in payments will be received by the Museum Wales ex-director general David Anderson including £50,000 in compensation for “injury to his feelings”, Welsh Conservative Shadow Culture Minister, Tom Giffard MS said:
“Welsh taxpayers will be rightly furious at the colossal settlement provided to Mr Anderson and the seemingly ridiculous reasoning behind it.
“Many may have had their feelings hurt by his previous comments talking Britain and Brexiteers down, but are yet to receive their £50,000 in compensation.
“I would urge the Labour Government to look into this bizarre situation to ensure that due process was followed and that if not, these funds could be recuperated.”
