Temporary Traffic Management: A470 Overnight Closures October 2023
As part of the ongoing construction of the A465, overnight road closures of the A470 is required on the section that runs from the junction with the A465 to the junction with the A4054 (Upper High Street).
The closures will take place on ten nights:
From Monday 9 up to and including Wednesday 18 October 2023 from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on each night.
Vehicles needing access to the properties situated along this section of closed road will have access from the north end of the closure.
As part of these works we will be moving traffic at this location onto a temporary stretch of A470 that will be running at a lower level. This will allow us to excavate the existing carriageway down to the same lower level. Once this has been completed we can begin construction of the new A470 carriageway.
These road closures are required to undertake work that cannot be safely completed while the road is open or under traffic management. They are taking place overnight to help minimise disruption.
