Welsh output falls further

Commenting on the NatWest survey which found that Welsh firms signalled a further but slower fall in output, Welsh Conservative Shadow Economy Minister, Paul Davies MS said:

“It is deeply concerning to read this morning that output in Wales has fallen again, with firms in Wales registering the quickest contraction in new orders. There is clearly an underlining issue.

“With unemployment increasing in Wales and the highest rate in the UK, with several large industry employers closing or filing for administration, more needs to be done to boost the economy in Wales.

“Labour need to focus on the important issues in Wales and stop wasting money on passion projects like £100m for more politicians and costly 20mph speed limits costing £4.5bn.”
