Welsh Conservatives express frustration with the release of important statements during Senedd recess.

Commenting on the release of two important agricultural and farming statements during the summer recess, Welsh Conservative Shadow Rural Affairs Minister, Samuel Kurtz MS Said:

“I am frustrated that the Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales Lesley Griffiths has seen fit to release two important statements in writing during the first week of the Summer recess.

“While I appreciate getting the information out ahead of the summer shows, it leaves things incredibly tight for any Senedd Member to scrutinise in great detail what the Welsh Government are proposing.

“Therefore, I have written to the Minister asking that, in her role as Trefnydd, she brings forward oral statements on both of these issues as soon as the Senedd returns in September.”
