Unemployment rises to 5% in Wales, highest in 5 years

Commenting on today’s Welsh unemployment statistics, Welsh Conservative Shadow Economy Minister, Paul Davies MS said:

Unemployment has risen again in Labour-run Wales

“Unemployment has risen again in Labour-run Wales, to the highest it’s been in 5 years and the sharpest rise in the last year of any nation or region of the UK.

“This is the third month in a row that the unemployment rate in Wales has risen and urgent action is needed to ensure that this worrying trend does not continue.

“Ministers in Cardiff Bay need to work with businesses in order to help them grow – and that means creating more procurement opportunities, reforming the planning system and investing in skills for the future.”

People can’t get to work because they can not rely on the appalling public transport system, a system that the Labour Government in Wales just can not improve it would seem train and bus cancelations trains don’t reach their destination the system is a joke. The lack of new infrastructure traffic queuing for miles on the M4 what right minded busyness person would want to invest in a business in South Wales.
