Welsh Government to hand asylum seeker £1,600 a month
Young asylum-seekers in Wales will get a £1,600 monthly hand-out and taxpayer cash to fight deportation under Labour plans
Commenting, Welsh Conservative Leader, Andrew RT Davies, MS said:
“The UK Government is working to ensure people aren’t risking their lives coming over in boats and yet Labour are encouraging them with these payments.
“This money could be better spent on education or our Welsh NHS, this kind of government waste is common from the Welsh Government and is a reflection on what plans, and policy would look like from a Labour government in Westminster.
“I can only hope that sense will prevail here and Justice Minister Lord Bellamy, will deny the request.”
