We are appealing for any witnesses to the collision

APPEAL | Emergency services were called at 7.30 pm on Monday, April 3 following a road traffic collision between a red and white Suzuki motorcycle and a dark grey Range Rover Evoque at the junction of Tyntyla Road and the turning to Rhondda Sports Centre.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 27-year-old man from Porth, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the University Hospital of Wales where he remains. The road was closed until 1.00 am the following morning while investigations took place.

Local residents are thankful for their understanding while this took place.

We are appealing for any witnesses to the collision who has yet to come forward to make contact. We are also appealing for anyone who may have seen the manner in which either vehicle was being driven prior to the collision or who may have any dashcam footage to make contact quoting reference 2300106986.
