Almost 900 plants seized after cannabis farm is uncovered
A call came in from a caretaker who reported entry had been forced at Ffwd Amos industrial estate, Penygraig, Tonypandy at midday yesterday (Tuesday 13 December).
The local neighbourhood policing officers attended and discovered a large cannabis factory containing 419 pots of mature plants in one room and 472 pots of nursery plants in the other.
It was clear that the sophisticated set up had been used for a while and that the gardeners had been residing inside, with beds set up and food left prepared and uneaten.
The farm has since been dismantled and the drugs seized. Enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible for the farm.
