Welsh Ambulance Service to host virtual Trust Board meeting

THE Welsh Ambulance Service Trust will host its popular virtual Trust Board event next week.

On Thursday 30 September at 9.30am, the Trust’s executive and non-executive directors will welcome the public via Zoom and Facebook to talk about recent and future developments as well as offering the opportunity to ask pre-submitted and live questions.

As well as updates and reflections from Chair Martin Woodford and Chief Executive Jason Killens, there will be some forward looking presentations on topics such as the Trust’s current situation and an update on the bid for University Trust status.

Chair Martin Woodford said: “We are looking forward to another lively and informative morning.

“Obviously, given the well-publicised pressures on our service, it is incumbent upon us a Board to consider in a public arena the steps we are taking or planning to take to improve the situation

“However, Trust Board is a great way to take stock of our achievements and highlight opportunities for learning which we are always pleased to share with the public.

“Of particular interest in this session will be hearing feedback from young people and the education sector on the innovative Blue Light Hub app we launched in July this year to help educate the next generation of emergency service users.”

Alternatively, the meeting will also be streamed live on the Trust’s Facebook page.

A full agenda will be available on the Trust’s website nearer the time.

If you have a question for the Board, you can email it to AMB_AskUs@wales.nhs.uk by no later than Tuesday 28 September.

The event is also available in British Sign Language.
