PENRHIWCEIBER ROAD, MOUNTAIN ASH TEMPORARY CLOSURE
RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL
(PENRHIWCEIBER ROAD, MOUNTAIN ASH)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
The effect of the Order will be to close Penrhiwceiber Road, from its junction with Park Hill, south eastwards for a distance of 260 metres
The restriction is necessary to enable works to be executed on or near the road in connection with repairs to a manhole cover in the carriageway.
The closure is expected to be in operation from 8am to 5pm on Sunday 1st November 2020, or until such time as the works have been completed.
The alternative route for vehicles will be from the southern side of the closure, proceed via B4275 to Abercynon, A4059 to Mountain Ash, Oxford Street/Henry Street, Miskin Road, Bailey Street, Glyngwyn Street/Victoria Street and Penrhiwceiber Road to the northern side of the closure
For vehicles travelling in the opposite direction, please reverse the directions given above While the closure is in operation, local traffic will be able to divert from the northern side of the closure via Park Hill, Woodfield Terrace, Church Street, Cross Street and Penrhiwceiber Road to the southern side of the closure
For vehicles travelling in the opposite direction, please reverse the directions given above
Access for emergency services and HGVs/large vehicles will be maintained.
Access will be maintained for pedestrians
