RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL
(LABURNUM DRIVE, CWMDARE)
(VARIATION, WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND “SCHOOL KEEP CLEAR” MARKINGS) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council have made an Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to
1. Vary the Traffic Regulation Order specified in Schedule 1
2. Prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to wait at any time on the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 2
3. Prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to stop at any time on the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 3
The Order will come into operation on 29 June 2020
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it had not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 29 June 2020 apply to the High Court for this purpose
SCHEDULE 1 – Variation
The “Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council (Prohibition and Restrictions of Waiting and Loading and On Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2012” shall be varied by the deletion from the Schedule of the following Order in its entirety: –
“Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council (Cherry Drive, Laburnam Drive, Laurel Close and Heol Brynnau, Cwmdare) (Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time) Order 2005”
SCHEDULE 2 – Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time
1. Laburnum Drive
i. Both sides, from the centre of its junction with Cherry Drive, in a south westerly direction for a distance of 18 metres
ii. North western side from a point 22.5 metres north east the centre of its junction with Laurel Close, in a south westerly direction for a distance of 45 metres
iii. South eastern side, 22 metres north east of a point opposite the centre of its junction with Laurel Close, in a south westerly direction for a distance of 15.5 metres
iv. South eastern side, 14.5 metres south west of the centre of its junction with the northern junction of the school access road for a distance of 7 metres to the northern side of the lay-by on Laburnum Drive
v. South eastern side, 12 metres north east of the centre of its junction with the southern junction of the school access road for a distance of 7 metres to the southern side of the lay-by on Laburnum Drive
vi. North western side, from a point 38 metres north east of the centre of its junction with Heol Brynnau, in a south westerly direction for a distance of 60 metres
vii. South eastern side, from a point 9 metres south west of a point opposite the centre of its junction with Heol Brynnau in a south westerly direction for a distance of 13 metres
2. Laurel Close
i. Both sides from the centre of its junction with Laburnum Drive in a north westerly direction for a distance of 13.5 metres.
3. Heol Brynnau
i. Both sides from the centre of its junction with Laburnum Drive in a westerly direction for a distance of 14.5 metres.
4. Cherry Drive
i. Both sides, from the common boundary of No. 36a Cherry Drive and No. 3 Laburnum Drive, south east for a distance of 45 metres
SCHEDULE 4 – Prohibition of Stopping At Any Time, “School Keep Clear” Markings
1. Laburnum Drive
i. South eastern side, from a point 6.5 metres north east of a point opposite the centre of its junction with Laurel Close in a south westerly direction for a distance of 43.5 metres.
ii. South eastern side, from a point 9 metres south west of a point opposite the centre of its junction with Heol Brynnau in a north easterly direction for a distance of 43.5 metres.
