Order will be to temporarily close Mountain Ash Bridge,

RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL

(MOUNTAIN ASH BRIDGE (NEW ROAD TO COMMERCIAL STREET) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2020

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.

 

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily close Mountain Ash Bridge, from its junction with New Road / Ffrwd Crescent to its junction with Commercial Street

 

The restriction is necessary to enable works to be executed on or near the road in connection with traffic signal loop repairs

 

The closure is expected to be in operation from 10:00pm on 1st June to 6:00am on 2nd June 2020, or until such time as the works have been completed.

 

The alternative route for vehicles shall be from the north eastern side of the closure proceed via A4059 New Road, Canal Road, Cwmbach Roundabout, Asda Roundabout, B4275 Cardiff Road, Park View Terrace, John Street, Bronallt Terrace, Aberdare Road and Commercial Street to the south western side of the closure.

 

From the south western side, reverse the directions given above.

 

Access will be maintained for pedestrians and emergency service vehicles
