Davies Homes appealed to the Planning Inspectorate over the refusal for development on the former Blaengwawr Comprehensive School site.

Davies Homes Ltd has appealed to the Planning Inspectorate because on the 24th July 2019 Rhondda Cynon Taf Council refused development on the former Blaengwawr Comprehensive School site.

The proposed development is controversial not only for access reasons the plan is to build 120 units on the site but this only takes in part of the site that is available for development there is ample room for on the site to increase development.

R C T council have increased the with of the highway in Club Street but only for a short distance not taking into account the narrow opening at the site entrance and where Club Street meets the B4275 Cardiff Road. Since the opening of the new Aberdare Community School and the Aberdare College the B4275 now backs up as far as the Blaengwawr Public House that’s without any further development.

If you have any objections to this development you can write to the Planning Inspectorate crown Buildings Cathays Park Cardiff CF10 3NQ quoting reference number A/19/3237483 by the 30 October 2019
