Shadow Transport Minister comments on poor rail satisfaction figures
A national rail survey has reportedly revealed that just 49% of rail users in Wales are satisfied with Transport for Wales’ approach to journey delays.
Commenting on the survey, Shadow Minister for Business, Economy and Infrastructure, Russell George AM, said:
“These figures confirm what we hear regularly from rail users across the country. Trains in Wales are unreliable, late, over-crowded and just to compound this we’re now having 1970s machines palmed off onto rail users.
“Transport users are unhappy, unsatisfied and unlikely to rely on rail transport connections in Wales.
“In light of the recent declaration of a climate emergency, and the cancellation of the M4 relief road by the Welsh Labour Government, far more has to be done to tempt weary travellers back onto Welsh trains.”
