Jail for London drug dealers who were caught with heroin and cocaine
Three London drug dealers who were caught red handed in Pontypridd with thousands of pounds worth of drugs have been jailed for more than 15 years.
Mohammad Bohlolzadeh, 22, Akash Krishnan, 25, and Laszlo Vadaski, 19, were jailed at Merthyr Crown Court on Friday, 8 February, 2019.
They were arrested by police as they made off from the scene of an incident which occurred in a back lane in Glyncoch on August 2, 2019.
The three men had travelled to Pontypridd with heroin and crack cocaine and had arranged to meet up with three local people.
People in nearby houses heard shouting in the lane and they contacted police.
Officers flooded the area and the three suspects were seen running into nearby woods.
They chased after them – two men surrendered themselves and were arrested and the other man, Mohammed Bohlolzadeh, was detained nearby.
They were caught with 53 wraps of heroin and cocaine – outgoing messages on mobile phones offering ‘Happy hour – 4 for 25’ deals confirmed all three were concerned in the supply of drugs.
All three men have links to London gangs and were working as part of a County Lines operation.
Akash Krishnan and Laszlo Vadaski both pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine and were both jailed for four years and eight months.
Mohammed Bohlolzadeh pleaded not guilty to all charges, but was found guilty after a trial and was jailed for five years and six months.
Charges for each defendant relating to the serious assault of three local people in a back lane in Glyncoch were ordered to lie on file.
Detective Constable Ann Stevens, said: “County Lines operations come hand in hand with violence and this is a serious threat to every community.
“All three men will spend a considerable time in prison for their crimes and I hope it sends a strong message to others that drug dealing will not be tolerated by people in our communities.
“I would like to give praise to the individuals who contacted us so that we were able to get to the incident quickly and arrest the men.”
