Drugs worth thousands of pounds seized in Tonyrefail
A stop and search by eagle eyed police officers led to the discovery of drugs in Rhondda.
On Sunday (Jan 13), two officers on patrol saw a man who was acting suspiciously as he drove away from a house in Tonyrefail.
They stopped and searched the vehicle, finding a small amount of what they believed to be crack cocaine.
A nearby house was searched and more drugs were found, including a quarter of a kilogramme of cocaine, beneath a sofa.
Over a thousand pounds was also seized along with an electronic money counter.
A man and a woman, both in their 50s, have been charged in connection with drugs offences and have been remanded into custody.
