RCTC Statement – Muni Arts Centre in Pontypridd. But didn’t they close it in the first place?
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council has this morning (January 8) taken steps to take possession of the Muni Arts Centre in Pontypridd.
The Council has taken possession of the Muni Arts Centre in line with the terms of the lease. As the process for entering into administration has not formally been completed by the tenant of the Muni Arts Centre, the Council has been able to exercise the terms of its lease arrangement.
Yesterday, the Council confirmed that to provide the best opportunity for interest groups to develop a viable business plan for the Muni, continued financial support may be necessary. The Council will consider how it may be able to support viable business cases for the venue.
