RHONDDA CYNON TAFF CO UNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL

(VARIOUS STREETS , MOUNTAIN ASH)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2018

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.

 

The effect of the Order will be to: –

 

1. Road Closure

Miskin Road, Mountain Ash from its junction with Bailey Street to its junction with Glyngwyn Street and Penrhiwceiber Road

 

Alternative Route: From the northern side of the closure, proceed via Bailey Street and Glyngwyn Street to the southern side of the closure.

 

2 . Temporary Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time

a. Glyngwyn Street, both sides for its entire length

b. Bailey Street, south eastern side, from its junction with Glyngwyn Street to its junction with Miskin Road

 

NB The temporary waiting restrictions in Part a, Glyngwyn Street, will be introduced in four smaller sections. However, should it become apparent that this arrangement is not sufficient to maintain traffic flow, the Council reserves the right to introduce further lengths of restrictions as and when required

 

The restriction is necessary to enable works to be executed on or near the road.

 

The Order would come into force from 1st July 2018 to 30th August 2019 or until such time as the works have been completed

 

Access WILL NOT be maintained for pedestrians or emergency service vehicles
