Aldi is confirmed as the official water sponsors for Nos Galan Road Races

International supermarket chain Aldi is confirmed as the official water sponsors for the 2017 Nos Galan Road Races in Mountain Ash on New Year’s Eve. 

Aldi GB and Aldi Cardiff are proud sponsors of this year’s Nos Galan Road Races. 

Organisers Rhondda Cynon Taf Council and the Nos Galan Committee are delighted that one of the UK’s fastest-growing supermarket chains, is associated with the world-famous event. 

More than 1,000 people will be taking part in this year’s 5k Adult Fun Run, with a further 325 athletes competing in the Elite Race – and much more in the children's’ races. 

Each person who crosses the finishing line will receive a commemorative Nos Galan t-shirt and medal along with a goodie bag containing a refreshing bottle of water, supplied by Aldi – a must for every competitor after the race. 

A spokesman said “On behalf of everyone associated with the Nos Galan Road Races, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Aldi for being a part of such a global phenomenon. 

“There is no other event quite like the Nos Galan Road Races in the country, it is a very different New Year’s Eve and one we are all proud of as it attracts competitors and spectators from all over the world. 

“I am sure that everyone who crosses the finishing line on the night will very much appreciate receiving their bottled water, courtesy of Aldi.”
