QUARTER MILE BRIDGE, ABERCYNON TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

(B4275 QUARTER MILE BRIDGE, ABERCYNON)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council have made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along B4275 Quarter Mile Bridge (Railway Bridge only)
It is expected to be operative from 2300 hours on 25th September 2017 to 0500 hours on 26th September 2017 or until such time as the works are completed
The restriction is necessary to enable works to be carried out on or near the road.
Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles BUT NOT for pedestrians
The alternative route for vehicles is as follows:
From the north eastern side of the closure, proceed via Quarter Mile Bridge, A4059, Abercynon Roundabout, A472, Fiddlers Elbow Roundabout, A4054, B4275, Ynysmeurig Road, Walters Street, Edwards Street, Ynysmeurig Road and Abercynon Road to the south western side of the closure.
From the south western side of the closure, proceed via Abercynon Road, Ynysmeurig Road, B4275, A4054, Fiddlers Elbow Roundabout, A472, Abercynon Roundabout, A4059 and Quarter Mile Bridge to the north eastern side of the closure.
