(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council have made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which will have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit any person from causing any person to proceed along Ynysmeurig Road, Abercynon from a point 20 metres south east of its junction with Station Road, for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction.
It is expected to be operative during the following dates and times or until such time as the works have been completed: –
From 2300 hours on 5th June to 0500 hours on 6th June 2017
From 2300 hours on 6th June to 0500 hours on 7th June 2017
From 2300 hours on 7th June to 0500 hours on 8th June 2017
From 2300 hours on 8th June to 0500 hours on 9th June 2017
From 2300 hours on 9th June to 0500 hours on 10th June 2017
The restriction is necessary to enable works to be executed on or near the road
Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles but NOT for pedestrians
During the period of the closure, the alternative route is as follows:
From the western side of the closure, proceed via Ynysmeurig Road, Walters Street, Edward Street, Ynysmeurig Road, Abercynon Road, Quarter Mile Bridge, A4059, Abercynon Roundabout, A472, Fiddlers Elbow Roundabout, A4054 and B4275 to the eastern side of the closure
From eastern side of the closure, proceed via B4275, Glancynon Terrace, Greenfield Terrace, Park View, Quarter Mile Bridge, Abercynon Road and Ynysmeurig Road to the western side of the closure Alternative route for long vehicles (avoiding Quarter Mile Bridge)
From the western side of the closure, proceed via Ynysmeurig Road, Walters Street, Edward Street, Ynysmeurig Road, Abercynon Road, Vaughan Terrace, Rheola Street, Penrhiwceiber Road, Miskin Road, Oxford Street (Route B4275), New Road (Route A4059), A472, A4054 and B4275 to the eastern side of the closure
From the eastern side of the closure, proceed via B4725, A4054, A470 southbound, Bridge Street Roundabout , A470 northbound, Abercynon Roundabout, A4059, Oxford Street (Route B4275), Miskin Road, Penrhiwceiber Road, Rheola Street, Vaughan Terrace, Abercynon Road and Ynysmeurig Road to the western side of the closure
