20 MPH on PART OF WELLINGTON STREET AND ABERNANT ROAD

RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL

(PART OF WELLINGTON STREET AND ABERNANT ROAD, ABERDARE) (SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2017

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council have made an Order under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to:

1. Introduce a 20mph speed limit on the streets identified in Schedule 1

The Order will come into operation on 31st August 2017

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it had not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 31st August 2017 apply to the High Court for this purpose

 

SCHEDULE 1 – 20mph Speed Limit

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel at a speed in excess of 20mph on the following lengths of roads in their entirety:-

a. Wellington Street from the Abernant roundabout location in a westerly direction for approximately 237 metres

b. Abernant Road from the Abernant roundabout location in a northerly direction for approximately 23.5 metres

c. Abernant Road from the Abernant roundabout location in a southerly direction for a approximately 83 metres

d. The entire length of the un-named road leading off Wellington Street approximately 164 metres north of its junction with Abernant Road
