Are our public services deteriorating in Cynon Valley?

Are our public services deteriorating in Cynon Valley?

Proposal for Rhondda Cynon Taf Council to endorse a planning application for 500 houses on land of the former Phurnacite Works in Abercwmboi, this will unsurprisingly increase the population of Abercwmboi quite substantially.

Abercwmboi the Medical Centre a somewhat new building serves patients as well as from Abercwmboi also from Aberaman Cwmaman.

There is already a hypothetical shortage of GPs not only in Cynon Valley but the rest of Wales Abercwmboi the Medical Centre at the moment has just one fulltime GP serving both the Abercwmboi and Aberdare practice at Maendy Place Surgery, retired GPs fill in with locums filling in as required.

With so many extra people coming to the area what is Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, Cwm Taf Health Board and the Welsh Assembly going to do about it?

Our local services are being cut but Rhondda Cynon Taf Council keep allowing developers to build, another 200 houses on the old Aberdare Boys School and Aberdare College sites.

We understand is difficult to get an appointment at the Park Surgery in Windsor St, Trecynon that’s without the addition of 300 plus new residents to that area.

Is there a decline of our public services in Cynon Valley?

You can’t keep adding to the population without increasing public services and highway infrastructure
