Defending Our Rights: Challenging Attitudes events
Defending our rights in 2017
It is hard to believe that we are halfway through 2017 already! It has been a busy year with a huge focus on defending our rights as disabled people.
We are holding one event in North Wales and one in South Wales to update you on important developments and to get feedback from you about your concerns.
Events
We have two events coming up, one in Bridgend on 26th June and one in Conwy on 28th June.
We will be providing you with updates on the hot topics of the year including:
- Access to transport,
- What Brexit and the General Election may mean for us,
- Developments with the the framework for action on independent living and,
- The UN Convention on the Rights of Disabled People
There will be an update on the latest funding available from the DRILL programme for disability research. This will be a great opportunity for researchers and academics, as well as Disabled People’s Organisations to find out how to apply and network with others who may be interested in working in co-production.
For more details about the event please phone our office on 029 20887325 or email Natasha on natasha.hirst@disabilitywales.org
