Award winning Welsh coffee shop supports people with sight loss
Until 5 August 2017, Coffee#1 has teamed up with RNIB Cymru to help support people with sight loss in Wales.
Coffee#1 have won the title 'Best UK Coffee Chain' for the past seven out of eight years and have over 70 coffee shops across Wales, South West and the South Coast. Each quarter they choose a different charity to support through their Charity Gingerbread Man. At only £1, you can pick up a gingerbread man to go with your latte or hot chocolate and all profits will go directly to RNIB Cymru. You no longer need to feel guilty about eating biscuits!
Carol McKinlay, RNIB Cymru’s Fundraising Manager said: “We’re so excited to announce that Coffee#1 have chosen us to be their gingerbread charity for the next quarter. Over 106,000 people live with sight loss in Wales and by buying a gingerbread man for only £1, will help us raise awareness and provide those much needed services and support for them.”
Coffee#1 said: "We're delighted to be able to support RNIB’s Talking Book Campaign through our Gingerbread Appeal. It's such a simple way to raise money but it's a great way of supporting charities that help in the communities we work in. Our gingerbread appeal has donated over £24k to charity over the last year and we hope to continue to grow that in future."
Do pick up the little tasty fellows in your local Coffee#1 and help support people with sight loss.
