Tories import candidates from South East of England for RCT seats
It appears that despite the recent upturn in fortunes for the Conservatives in Rhondda Cynon Taff they still have to look elsewhere to find candidates for seats in RCT.
The "statement of persons nominated" on the Council webste shows that the candidate for the Rhondda had declined to give her full address but lives at "an address in the Kensington and Chelsea constituency." The Pontypridd candidate likewise has a fair distance to travel, being located in the Oxford West and Abingdon constituency.
Welsh Liberal Democrat candidate for the Rhondda, Karen Roberts says
"It seems the Conservatives are still struggling in this area and are yet again dropping in candidates who have nothing whatsoever to do with RCT and are unlikely to understand any of the issues we face here. They really are taking their voters for granted if they expect them to vote for people who have no connection at all with Wales, never mind the constituencies they are standing to represent."
AberdareOnline would add Just like the MP for Cynon Valley then.
