Election Information
The Local Government elections to both Rhondda Cynon Taf Council and Community/Town Councils take place across the County Borough on Thursday, May 4.
Candidates for the elections have now been confirmed
In order to be able to vote at these elections, all eligible residents of Rhondda Cynon Taf need to be registered – and the deadline is Thursday, April 13.
Anyone not registered to vote will not be able to vote at elections. It is a legal requirement to register. People who fail to register could be liable for a fine up to a maximum of £1000 for failure to do so.
Polling Stations will be open until 10pm on Thursday, May 4. The Election Counts will take place at Sobell Sports Centre, Aberdare, Llantrisant Leisure Centre and Rhondda Sports Centre from 9am the following day.
