WJEC Innovation Awards 2016
Joseph Ringrose has been awarded 1st Prize at GCSE level for his D&T project completed last summer. From a total of 18,000 candidates in Wales, Joe’s rain sensing project made the long list of 300 projects and was then shortlisted and selected to be exhibited at Swalec Stadium, Cardiff last September and Bangor University last October. Following judging, Joe was notified that he was a prize winner in the GCSE category.
On Thursday 15th December 2016, Joe was presented with 1st Prize by Kirsty Williams AM, Cabinet Secretary for Education, at The Senedd, Cardiff Bay. Joe received a cheque for £150, with an additional prize of £150 for the School, and the Professor Philip Beckley Cup.
Congratulations to Joe on achieving such a prestigious award, especially considering the numbers of candidates competing.
