Welsh Hearts May Day Carnival returns for a 3rd Year

The Welsh Hearts May Day Carnival returns to Whitchurch Common for a third year this bank holiday. The day will be hosted by TV’s Sue Charles and includes entertainment from X-Factor's Helen Fulthorpe and The Voice's Ragsy performing live on stage.

With the usual  fun fair attractions along with the best the city has to offer in street food and craft stalls it promises to be a fantastic day.

John Tyrrell, Events Team Administrator for Welsh Hearts said ' The day looks amazing and there is something for all the family to enjoy,  we must also acknowledge Cardiff Council's Parks Team for the part they have played in helping us get this event just right for the good people of Cardiff. All we need now is a sunny day and lots of friendly faces'

Former Welsh International Rugby Star and recently appointed Patron of Welsh Hearts, Ian Gough will also be there and said 'having undergone recent heart surgery myself really drove home the importance of the work that Welsh Hearts do in their distribution of Defibrillators and Heart Screening in Wales, I can't believe the impact that their work has already achieved in their short 3 year history and the number of lives that they have been instrumental in saving in our communities right here in Wales. I do hope the Carnival is a massive success'.

Entry is free but please be sure to donate to this worthy cause on the day.
