Free Swimming in Ponty Lido but who is paying the bill?

Can Rhondda Cynon Taf Ratepayers afford to pay for free swimming for everyone in wales just because the £6.3 million refurbished Lido is in Ynysangharad Park Pontypridd?

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is saying, “Ponty is the National Lido of Wales. It offers FREE swimming to everyone in 2016. All visitors benefit from this.”

But its not free Rhondda Cynon Taf ratepayers have had to put-up with a council tax hick and cuts in public services, if you are a RCT ratepayer and live outside Pontypridd you have to travel for free swimming cost on public transport is not cheap and unreliable RCTC parking charges again not cheap.

There are many National institutions in Wales

Wales National Football        you pay

National Lido of Wales          Free! Care of Rhondda Cynon Taf Ratepayers

National Lido of Wales subsidised by Rhondda Cynon Taf ratepayers, one of the most deprived areas in Wales but the local Labour led council say it is bringing more people and trade to the town of Pontypridd.

The rest of Rhondda Cynon Taf have to pay to go swimming, Labour controlled Rhondda Cynon Taf Council have closed all kids paddling pools in RCT they say it was to save money but the ratepayers of RCT have to provide free swimming in the National Lido of Wales.

I don’t see any MPs or AMs from Cynon Valley or Rhondda speaking up about this inequality in Rhondda Cynon Taf. But of course they are all Labour party members so they follow the party line or they may be deselected come next election.

Is it time for change voting is on Thursday 5 May do you want more of the same for the next 5 years
