Back in January South Wales Police appealed for information after vandals damaged six gravestones in Ferndale cemetery.
The incident attracted a great deal of support from the local community, including the offer of free replacement headstones by local stonemason Mr John Foster to those families whose loved ones graves were amongst those damaged.
There has been a wonderful ground swell of support since the story was published on our Facebook page from local people offering help.
Thanks to the goodwill and kindness of Mr Foster, of JF Terrazzo Monumental Masons, the finishing touches to the damaged headstones has been completed.
