Wolfestone host bake off for Tenovus Cancer Care

Language Company Wolfestone hosts Bake Off in Aid of Local Cancer Charity Swansea, Wales

Wolfestone, an award-winning language company, has entered its 10th year in business and celebrates the success with a series of 10 events to raise £10,000 for the local charity Tenovus Cancer Care.

The different fundraising events held in 2016 include team members bravely running the London Marathon and CEO Anna Bastek entering the Ironman Triathlon, plus an apprentice-style shop challenge, a good-night walk and a big gala dinner in autumn.

Emma Hughes, HR Manager at Wolfestone, said: “We are excited to be celebrating our 10th year in business in September. In honour of us reaching our double digits, we knew we wanted to partner with a charity to raise money for a good cause. What better way to celebrate than to give instead of receive?”

Wolfestone’s latest local fundraising event is the Great Wolfestone Bake Off, an attempt to recreate BBC’s popular baking competition. As a translation company with employees and interns from around the world, the Bake Off is going to celebrate culture as much as possible with showstoppers from Italy, France and Spain.

Wolfestone is joined by local award-winning baker BoBakes, who acts as Paul and Mary in the competition, and decides who takes home the Best Baker award, and whose bake has a soggy bottom.

Bo, who supplies several artisan cafés and delis around South Wales with her baked goods, said: “I’m delighted to be a part of this great cause, not least because it involves something I love doing – baking. As for my winners, I really enjoy the Spanish Omelette, the flavours are amazing, that's why it's my favourite savoury dish. The cake pops come first for the sweet challenge, as they are really moist and yummy."
