We can confirm that two vehicles were involved in a road traffic collision around 10.52am this morning.
The incident happened on the A4049 near the Lletty Turner Bends, Mountain Ash. Ambulance, police and Wales Air Ambulance attended the scene.
One person has been taken to hospital by ambulance, another person has been taken to hospital by Wales Air Ambulance.
The road is closed at Quarter Mile link road towards Mountain Ash. Road is also closed in opposite direction from the Abercynon turn off. Traffic is being diverted through Abercynon.
