South Wales Police can confirm that Matthew John Johnson, aged 27, from Hendreforgan, Gilfach Goch has been charged following the road traffic collision in Mountain Ash on the 3rd September.
He has been charged with driving a vehicle without due care and attention and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Tye Hawkins, aged 10, still remains in a critical condition in hospital following the collision.
