Go along to Pontypridd Museum on April 14th to share your memories of Y Bwthyn

Macmillan Cancer Support and Cwm Taf University Health Board are working together to transfer the services at Y Bwthyn in Pontypridd Cottage Hospital to a new state-of-the-art palliative care unit within the grounds of the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant.

A ‘History Wall’ is being created as a focal point for the new Unit to tell Y Bwthyn’s story, celebrating and sharing the rich history and landscape of the much-loved service at Pontypridd Cottage Hospital and the significant landmarks and events on its doorstep.

We want to hear from anyone who has a memory or view to share of Y Bwthyn and will be running an art and writing workshop on Saturday, April 14th between 2 pm and 4pm at Pontypridd Museum to gather words and images. The workshops will be supported by local artists David Mackie, Heather Parnell and Becky Adams and poet, Clare Potter.

We would be delighted to meet you if you feel you would like to contribute to the workshop, or are able to share this information and encourage others who may have had a connection to Y Bwthyn to come along.

The event is FREE.
