The Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, Darren Millar MS, has tabled an emergency question in the Senedd following revelations that a former Welsh Government special advisor has been arrested in connection with allegations relating to Chinese espionage.
The question to the First Minister reads as follows:
“Will the First Minister make an urgent statement following the arrest of a former Welsh Government special advisor on suspicion of espionage for China?”
Commenting, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives, Darren Millar MS said:
“These are extremely serious developments and there are many questions for the First Minister to answer.
“We need to ensure that Wales is not a weak link when it comes to the UK’s national security.”
The Llywydd, the Speaker of the Welsh Parliament, is yet to determine whether the question will be accepted.
