Tonypandy man given community order for fraud and driving offences.

Jack Collins, 28 from Tonypandy was sentenced on Monday February 23 to a community order and restraining order.

The sentence follows a guilty plea for fraud by false representation, aggravated vehicle taking, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.

This followed officers receiving a report from the victim that a bank card had been stolen and used without permission by Collins in October 2025. He went on to use the card twice, once to withdraw £250 and then again for £150 from the same cash point.

Then in January 2026 whilst in the Tonypandy area Collins stole a car. He then went on to crash the car. When officers arrested him, they found he’d been disqualified from driving and didn’t

Officers have arrested three boys following an alleged assault near the Sainsbury’s supermarket in Pontypridd on Monday February 23.

Two 14-year-old boys from Pontypridd and one 13-year-old from Cwmtwrch were arrested on suspicion of attempted GBH. All three have been bailed pending further investigations.
