Sport Caerphilly has launched a gift voucher incentive to encourage schools and sports clubs to take part in the Bryn Caerphilly 2K, taking place on Sunday 10th May 2026.
The school and sports club with the highest number of registered participants in the Caerphilly 2K will each receive a gift voucher, which can be used to purchase equipment and support future activity.
The incentive supports the aims of the Sport and Active Recreation Strategy, helping to increase participation in physical activity and encourage more children and young people to lead active, healthy lifestyles.
Cllr Chris Morgan, Cabinet Member for Waste, Leisure & Green Spaces, said:
“This incentive is a great way to encourage schools and sports clubs to get involved in the Caerphilly 2K. It helps promote the importance of being active while supporting local organisations that play a vital role in their communities.”
To take part, schools and sports clubs must contact the Caerphilly 10K team by emailing 10k@caerphilly.gov.uk to request a unique registration link. This link will automatically track entries, making the process simpler for schools, clubs and event organisers. Only entries made using the unique link will count towards the incentive.
The Caerphilly 2K is a family-friendly event suitable for all abilities and takes place alongside the Caerphilly 10K, creating a vibrant and supportive event atmosphere in the heart of Caerphilly.
