Appeal for Witnesses: Collision on Hill Street, Pen-Y-Graig, Tonypandy

South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision involving a 13-year-old boy on Hill Street, Pen-Y-Graig, Tonypandy, at approximately 3:30pm last Thursday, October 23.

The teenager was riding a scooter when he and a 14-year-old friend exited a back lane onto Hill Street. As they did, the driver of a vehicle approached, and the teenager jumped off his scooter to avoid being hit. Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle collided with him and after a brief stop the driver continued down the street.

The driver of the vehicle has not yet been identified, but both boys described the vehicle as white. Following the incident, the injured boy was helped by a concerned member of the public who called for police and an ambulance. He was subsequently taken to hospital; thankfully, his injuries are not considered life-threatening or life changing.

We urge anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information regarding the vehicle or its driver to come forward. Your assistance could greatly assist officers in helping understanding what happened.
