20th Annual Disability Six Nations Rugby Festival Celebrates Two Decades of Inclusivity

Sport Caerphilly, in collaboration with the Dragons RFC, Welsh Rugby Union and local business sponsors, is proud to announce the 20th Annual Disability Six Nations Rugby Festival. This landmark event will take place on Tuesday, 18 March 2025, at the Centre of Sporting Excellence in Ystrad Mynach.

This year, the festival will host over 400 children from 20 schools across Wales, including a participating school from Bristol. The event underscores a longstanding commitment to promoting inclusivity and providing opportunities for children with disabilities to engage in rugby.

  • Date: Tuesday, 18 March 2025
  • Time: Staff will be on-site from 8:00 AM; schools will arrive between 9:00 AM and will finish at 2:00 PM
  • Location: Centre of Sporting Excellence, Ystrad Mynach

The Disability Six Nations Rugby Festival has grown significantly since its inception. In 2024, over 1,300 children participated in similar events across the country, reflecting the increasing interest and support for inclusive rugby initiatives.

Adding to the excitement, players from Dragons RFC will be in attendance on the day, supporting the participants and engaging with young athlete as they take part in this special festival.

To ensure the safety and privacy of all participants, guidelines for photographing and filming children during the event have been established. Organisers will be present on the day to inform media representatives of any procedures regarding children who cannot be photographed, ensuring compliance with these guidelines.
