South Wales Police are appealing for information help after a 15-year-old rider of the bike is believed to have been deliberately hit by a car

We were contacted yesterday evening, just before 5.15pm, with a report of a robbery of a Sur-ron electric bike on Glyn Street, Glynfach, Porth.

The 15-year-old rider of the bike is believed to have been deliberately hit by a car and then threatened with a knife before his bike was stolen.

An 18-year-old from Fairwater, Cardiff, has been arrested on suspicion of robbery. He is currently in police custody.

Detective Sergeant Dylan Jones said: “The teenage boy was shaken but uninjured and inquiries are ongoing .

“We are in the early stages of our investigation, but I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information to contact us.

“We are also appealing for anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage in the area of Glyn Street, Glynfach or Trebanog Road, Porth between 5pm and 5.30pm yesterday to share that with us quoting occurrence 2500045682.
